Next Ventures is seeking a Financial Controller with ERP experience for a contract role with our client in London.
Start Date: June Location: Central London Duration: 6 months + ext Rate: Outside IR35
Responsibilities:
Demonstrated experience in implementing Chart of Accounts structures and defining a robust Financial Controls matrix within an ERP implementation project.
Provide hands-on experience in testing the effectiveness of defined controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, accounting, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of financial processes within the ERP system.
Assist in the configuration and customization of the ERP system to meet the specific financial reporting and analysis needs of the organization.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of financial processes, system configurations, and user procedures.
Provide training and support to finance staff on the use of the ERP system, ensuring user adoption and proficiency.
Identify and troubleshoot system issues, working with IT and the ERP vendor to implement timely and effective solutions.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the ERP system, implementing robust controls and validation procedures.
Develop and generate financial reports, statements, and analyses to support management decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes, enhance system functionality, and improve efficiency.
Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on ERP systems.
Proven experience implementing and managing ERP financial modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools).
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a bonus.
