Security Engineer

Security Engineer - Switzerland - 1+ year contract

Contract Type: Freelance/External Consultant
Location: Bern, Switzerland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, more remote possible over time)

Next Ventures is partnered with an IT Service Provider who is supporting a large cyber defence program for a Swiss military end client.

The end client is developing a New Defense Platform (NDP) and is expanding its team with a Security Engineer. This role is crucial in integrating key software into the platform to ensure security, functionality, and seamless operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the NDP system, security requirements, and specialist applications for software integration.
  • Plan, install, configure, and parameterize software to integrate it into the NDP.
  • Ensure client and specialist applications are fully operational.
  • Maintain documentation in Confluence, Jira, and ICT management systems.
  • Support the EasyPSIM integration process.
Requirements:
  • Swiss nationality or 5+ years residency in Switzerland (must-have).
  • Strong IT skills with deep experience in software integration (installation, configuration, parameterization).
  • Experience with security-focused IT environments is a plus.
