I am partnered with a jewelery retailer, who are looking for a Data Engineer to join their emerging data team.
As a Data Engineer, you will design and implement data pipelines, facilitate migration to a new ERP system, and centralize siloed data sources into a data warehouse under the direction of a data architect.
Responsibilities
Develop, design, and maintain robust data pipelines surrounding migration of legacy software to a new ERP system
Work directly with a data architect to develop and maintain efficient and scalable code catering to the needs of a highly unique business in the cruise luxury retail goods space
Implement a new data warehousing environment from the ground up, owning pipelines end-to-end to create a centralized data source
Lay the foundations for integration of a new suite of financial, planning, and accounting software
Facilitate various data clean-up projects to improve overall data integrity and improve accuracy of analytics and reporting as we migrate to a new ERP
Contribute to the data strategy through collaboration with the data architect, analysts and planners, IT, and members of the data governance council to address data integrity concerns
Build and own automated testing and monitoring frameworks to assure software quality and performance.
Requirements
A degree in Computer Science, Information Science or equivalent field.
2+ years’ experience developing ETL/ELT data pipelines
Proficiency in SQL & Python, or equivalent query and scripting languages Thorough understanding of relational databases, on-premises and cloud databases, security, and data warehousing concepts.
