📌 Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Platform Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of our core platform infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. You will act as a technical leader, mentor engineers, and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering initiatives to build and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

• Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support business growth.

• Drive automation across infrastructure, deployment, and monitoring processes.

• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.

• Collaborate with product and development teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.

• Implement observability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure system health.

• Champion best practices in platform engineering, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, and DevSecOps.

• Oversee incident response and root cause analysis to continuously improve reliability.

🧩 Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).

• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience managing teams.

• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
