Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 operational support for Power BI platforms, resolving incidents, service requests, and escalations related to reports, datasets, refresh failures, and platform performance.
Administer Power BI Server (on-premises) including report deployment, workspace management, scheduling, subscriptions, and server health monitoring.
Manage Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Service environments including workspace governance, tenant settings, capacities, and access control.
Investigate and resolve data refresh, gateway, connectivity, and permission issues across on-prem and cloud environments.
Support report developers and business users with troubleshooting, onboarding, and best practice guidance.
Monitor platform usage, performance, and capacity utilization, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
Implement and maintain BI governance policies, including workspace lifecycle management, dataset certification, and naming standards.
Collaborate with data engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain reliable data connectivity and platform availability.
Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures for support and platform management.
Required Skills & Experience:
Hands-on experience administering Power BI Server (On-Prem) and Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Service.
Strong understanding of Power BI architecture, governance, and workspace management.
Experience troubleshooting gateway issues, dataset refresh failures, and report performance problems.
Knowledge of SQL Server, data modeling, and enterprise BI environments.
Experience working within ITIL-based support models (incident, problem, change management).
