SAP FICO Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional and technical expertise in SAP Finance, strong business process knowledge, and extensive experience designing scalable enterprise solutions. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust financial systems aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP FICO solutions across multiple business units.
• Define end-to-end finance solution architecture aligned with business strategy and enterprise architecture standards.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into SAP FICO functional designs.
• Configure and optimize SAP Finance and Controlling modules including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Bank Accounting
  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
  • Internal Orders
  • Product Costing
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
• Design and govern integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, PS, WM/EWM, and SuccessFactors where applicable.
• Lead solution design workshops with business stakeholders and recommend best practices.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide architectural guidance for SAP S/4HANA Finance transformations, migrations, and greenfield/brownfield implementations.
• Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, reports, workflows, and integrations.
• Review functional specifications and oversee development quality.
• Support data migration strategy, testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Mentor functional consultants and provide technical leadership across SAP Finance initiatives.
• Evaluate new SAP capabilities and recommend continuous improvements to business processes.
• Support production issues and provide governance for solution enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of SAP FICO implementation experience.
• 5+ years in an SAP Solution Architect or SAP FICO Architect role.
• Strong experience with multiple end-to-end SAP implementations.
• Deep expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO).
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controlling processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Strong knowledge of integration across SAP modules.
• Experience with financial close, reporting, budgeting, planning, and cost management processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
• Experience with Central Finance (CFIN).
• Knowledge of Group Reporting, Treasury, Cash Management, and Advanced Financial Closing.
• Experience with SAP Fiori applications.
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and integration technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments including RISE with SAP.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and SAP Activate methodologies.
• Experience in global template design and multi-country rollouts.
