SAP PP Functional Consultant
 

• Location:   Tokyo
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration:   12 months
• Project Description: A manufacturing business unit is undergoing a carve out, requiring the existing SAP ECC system to be migrated to a newly established entity. The consultant will play a key role in functional discovery, process assessment, migration planning, testing enablement, and go live support.
• Language Skills: Business level English & Japanese

 
Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand the current SAP ECC landscape and end‑to‑end manufacturing processes.
• Identify all PP‑related process components and functionalities required for carve‑out migration.
• Perform fit/gap analysis and document As‑Is and To‑Be processes.
• Identify and map new integration points with internal and external systems.
• Conduct requirement‑gathering workshops with business users and stakeholders.
• Support the creation of test plans and actively participate in SIT/UAT execution, including defect resolution.
• Contribute to cutover planning, data validation, and go‑live activities.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and training materials.

 
Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Functional experience in SAP ECC.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing modules: PP (core), and familiarity with SD/MM/QM/FI/CO.
• Proven experience in production planning, shop floor operations, MRP, master data, and related processes.
• Hands‑on involvement in SIT/UAT cycles and cross‑functional testing.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with global teams and handle business-facing discussions.
