Der Scrum Master ist für die Einführung von Scrum gemäß der Definition im Scrum Guide verantwortlich. Er coacht das Entwicklungsteam, den Product Owner und die Organisation bei der Einführung und richtigen Anwendung von Scrum. Das Ziel ist es, die Effektivität des Scrum-Teams und die Qualität des gelieferten Produkts oder der Dienstleistung zu verbessern. Diese Rolle ist ein Prozess-Coach und Vermittler, kein traditioneller Projektmanager oder Teammanager.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten:

1. Moderation und Coaching des Teams zu Scrum

  • Coaching: Sie leiten und coachen das Scrum-Team bei der Anwendung von agilen und Scrum-Praktiken und -Prinzipien. Dazu gehört auch das Coaching des Teams bei der Selbstorganisation und funktionsübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit.
  • Moderation von Scrum-Events: Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Scrum-Ereignisse - Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review und Sprint Retrospective - stattfinden, positiv und produktiv sind und innerhalb des Zeitrahmens bleiben.
  • Beseitigung von Hindernissen: Identifizieren und beseitigen Sie proaktiv Hindernisse, Straßensperren oder "Hemmnisse", die den Fortschritt des Teams behindern. Dies kann die Lösung von Problemen im Zusammenhang mit Tools, Ressourcen oder Prozess-Engpässen beinhalten.
  • Das Team beschützen: Schirmen Sie das Entwicklungsteam vor externen Ablenkungen und unnötigen Störungen ab, damit es sich auf das Sprint-Ziel konzentrieren kann.
  • Kontinuierliche Verbesserung: Coachen Sie das Team, damit es seine Prozesse, Praktiken und die Definition von "erledigt" durch effektive Sprint-Retrospektiven kontinuierlich verbessert.

2. Unterstützung für den Product Owner

  • Backlog-Management: Helfen Sie dem Product Owner, Techniken für eine effektive Produktzieldefinition und Product Backlog Management zu finden.
  • Kommunikation: Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ziele, Umfang und Produktbereich von allen Mitgliedern des Scrum-Teams und externen Stakeholdern verstanden werden.
  • Zusammenarbeit mit Stakeholdern: Erleichtern Sie die Zusammenarbeit mit den Stakeholdern, wenn dies gewünscht oder erforderlich ist.

3. Im Dienste der Organisation

  • Agile Einführung: Sie leiten, schulen und coachen das Unternehmen bei der Einführung von Scrum und helfen Mitarbeitern und Stakeholdern, einen empirischen Ansatz für komplexe Arbeit zu verstehen und umzusetzen.
  • Barrieren abbauen: Helfen Sie, Barrieren zwischen Stakeholdern und Scrum-Teams abzubauen.
  • Kollaboration: Arbeiten Sie mit anderen Scrum Masters zusammen, um die Effektivität der Scrum-Anwendung in der gesamten Organisation zu erhöhen.

Wesentliche Fähigkeiten und Qualifikationen

  • Tiefes Verständnis von Scrum und Agile: Expertenwissen über die Theorie, Praktiken und Regeln von Scrum.
  • Dienende Führung: Die Fähigkeit, mit gutem Beispiel voranzugehen, das Team zu unterstützen, ohne autoritär zu sein, und die Bedürfnisse des Teams in den Vordergrund zu stellen.

  • Problemlösungsfähigkeit: Starke Problemlösungsfähigkeiten, um das Team bei der Lösung von Problemen und der Beseitigung von Hindernissen zu unterstützen.
  • Anpassungsfähigkeit und Transparenz: Die Fähigkeit, offen für Veränderungen zu sein und eine Kultur der Transparenz innerhalb des Teams und mit den Stakeholdern zu fördern.

Bevorzugte Anforderungen

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), oder eine gleichwertige Zertifizierung.
  • Erfahrung in einer Scrum Master Rolle, typischerweise 2-4+ Jahre.
  • Kenntnisse eines agilen Frameworks oder einer agilen Methode (z.B. Kanban, XP).
  • Erfahrung mit agilen Tools wie Jira, Trello oder Azure DevOps.
  • Vertrautheit mit der Softwareentwicklung oder dem Bereich, in dem das Scrum-Team arbeitet.

Description:

The Scrum Master is responsible for establishing Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide. They coach the Development Team, the Product Owner, and the organization in its adoption and proper use of Scrum. The ultimate goal is to enhance the effectiveness of the Scrum Team and the quality of the product or service delivered. This role is a process coach and facilitator, not a traditional project manager or team manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Facilitating and Coaching the Team on Scrum

  • Coaching: Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile and Scrum practices and principles. This includes coaching the team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Facilitating Scrum Events: Ensure all Scrum events—Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective—take place, are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify and remove obstacles, roadblocks, or "impediments" that hinder the team's progress. This can involve resolving issues related to tools, resources, or process bottlenecks.
  • Protecting the Team: Shield the Development Team from external distractions and unnecessary interference, allowing them to remain focused on the Sprint Goal.
  • Continuous Improvement: Coach the team to continually improve their processes, practices, and definition of "Done" through effective Sprint Retrospectives.

 

2. Supporting the Product Owner

  • Backlog Management: Help the Product Owner find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
  • Communication: Ensure goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team and external stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.

 

3. Serving the Organization

  • Agile Adoption: Lead, train, and coach the organization in its Scrum adoption, helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work.
  • Removing Barriers: Help remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams.
  • Collaboration: Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Scrum application across the organization.

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of Scrum and Agile: Expert knowledge of Scrum theory, practices, and rules.
  • Servant Leadership: The ability to lead by example, supporting the team without being authoritative, and putting the team's needs first.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: A natural tendency to coach and mentor individuals and the team to higher levels of performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to help the team resolve issues and eliminate impediments.
  • Adaptability and Transparency: The ability to be open to change and foster a culture of transparency within the team and with stakeholders.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in a Scrum Master role, typically 2-4+ years.
  • Knowledge of an agile framework or method (e.g., Kanban, XP).
  • Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with software development or the domain in which the Scrum Team works.
