Overview:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Controlling (CO) professional with strong expertise in Product Costing and a proven ability to engage directly with business stakeholders. This role requires a consultant who can bridge the gap between the technical delivery team and client leadership, providing both analytical depth and interpersonal authority.
Act as a client-facing advisor, gathering requirements, clarifying business needs, and proposing effective SAP Controlling and Product Costing solutions.
Evaluate and translate business requirements into system designs, offering guidance and recommendations to optimise cost control and manufacturing processes.
Liaise between onshore stakeholders and the offshore technical team, ensuring alignment, quality, and accountability in delivery.
Challenge and validate effort estimates or timelines from offshore colleagues when necessary, maintaining project integrity and efficiency.
Support design discussions, requirement crystallisation, and solution persuasion to ensure stakeholder buy-in.
Collaborate with finance, manufacturing, and IT teams to ensure smooth integration between Product Costing, Controlling, and other SAP modules.
Deep understanding of SAP CO, with strong emphasis on Product Costing (PC).
Familiarity with S/4HANA Finance and Manufacturing processes.
Ability to perform cost analysis, variance analysis, and configuration within CO-PC.
Knowledge of related components (CO-PA, CO-OM, ML, FI integration) beneficial.
Experience working with offshore development and support teams.
SAP Certification (CO or S/4HANA Finance) advantageous.
Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Capable of translating technical detail into business language and vice versa.
Persuasive and confident in solution recommendation and negotiation.
Able to challenge offshore teams diplomatically yet assertively to maintain delivery standards.
Effective intermediary between business, architects, and execution teams.
Structured, analytical mindset with high ownership and follow-through.
