Job Description: Azure Network Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an Azure Network Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable network architectures in Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure optimal connectivity and performance across hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and configure Azure VNets, subnets, and components

• Implement hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute)

• Manage and monitor performance with Azure Monitor & Network Watcher

• Configure security (NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Link, DDoS Protection)

• Automate configurations via IaC (Terraform, Bicep)

• Document standards and advise on improvements

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years with Azure networking (VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway)

• 3+ years with hybrid environments, DNS, IP addressing, load balancing

• Bachelor’s/Master’s level education

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) – essential

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

• Experience in complex government organizations

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Fluent Dutch (spoken and written)
